Greetings indeed, or as we say in Nottingham, “Eyup Me Ducks”. Hope all three of you are well and that business is good. Well, we took note of your reaction to our plan to stop at Pecos (and one quick look at the place) and without a second thought drove straight on to Abilene. This was just as well because it nearly took us just as long to get to DFW Airport from Abilene – the Dallas Fort Worth conurbation just kept going on and on and on…

Anyways, the weather in Seattle was completely the opposite to what we enjoyed at Big Bend – we’ve never seen so much rain (and we’re English!). Had a great time there, though – you ought to check it out one day – after you’ve been to jolly old Blighty (e.g. England) of course.

Attached is the photo Jack took of the five of us along with the pumpkins. We look forward to seeing it on the web site. Steve, I will be putting a lot of thought (and energy) into creating a wonderful Derek & Clive compilation for you this weekend. I will drop you a line after I have posted it.

We are still sighing and smiling about our wonderful trip to Chimney Rock and Big Bend. The stars really are big and bright out there! We forgot to sign your guest book before we left but did want to let you know that we had a great time at your place and at the park. Our room (The Bank!) was so comfy and breakfast was just how we like it. We have been telling everyone we know about out trip and have been recommending your place as a great romantic getaway or as a fun adventure destination - it was both of those for us! If our work schedules match up we will hopefully see you again in January. Please give Sophie a big hug and a scratch for us. She's a sweet girl!

WOW!

We actually made it home late Friday night after driving through rain for 12 hours. Spent all day Saturday doing laundry and all day Sunday escorting a tour through the Asian art museum. All day today at SMU in board meetings...life has returned.

We LOVED staying at your place and cannot wait to return. I've told my son all about it. He wants to drive out and "off road" in his Jeep on the gravel drives. Plus the dino dig and cave dwellings. I will try to meet Dr. Buzbee at SMU and talk to him about getting a group of students together for the dino dig. Sounds like much fun.

I cannot imagine staying anywhere else at Big Bend other than your place. It's just perfect. We loved being able to hike around right from our room. We loved the campfire at night...the solitude...I'd love to come out and paint for a week some time.

OK...gotta go...another board meeting tomorrow. I'll stay in touch.

Hi guys, we made it home OK, actually we were in our house by 9 p.m. And today we are very sad because there is no Sophie and no beautiful nature... and no fun around the fire... Jennifer and Steve,

Stephan and I wanted to thank you for your hospitality! We had a super time and staying at Ten Bits Ranch was perfect for us. We appreciate the trip Steve gave us on where to go and what hikes would best suit us. And Jennifer , your Thanksgiving dinner was superb!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
