About Us...

The Ranch:

At an elevation of 3200 feet,  Ten Bits Ranch is situated within the rugged, Chihuahuan desert wilderness. The Ranch property includes craggy, desert badlands as well as our local “Garden of the Gods” which mirrors its more famous Colorado cousin.   Views in all directions are gorgeous and our remote location makes us the perfect place to kick back and relax.  We regard the Ranch as a haven for wildlife, a place for imagination and a hub for adventure.   Plus, Big Bend National Park is only 20 minutes away!  The Ten Bits Ranch supports the

Friends of Big Bend National Park, The Big Bend Natural History Association, the

Society of Vertebrate Paleontology,  and the Texas Adopt-a-Highway program.

Renewable Energy:

We're Green!  The Ten Bits Ranch runs completely on solar power.  Abundant sunshine makes the Big Bend of Texas a great place to use photovoltaics and promote renewable energy.   Our Outback Power® system is state-of the art and we offer almost all of the conveniences you would expect without the need for unsightly power poles or having to deal with unexpected outages.  During your stay, we think you'll come to appreciate how simple and beneficial it is to use solar energy.
